Philips Wireless Headphones

Philips’ wireless headphone SBC HC8545 will give you the freedom of listening to your favorite songs cablelessly, within a 100m. radius in your home. It comes handy whenever there’s a reason that makes you keep your 1000 Watt Hi-Fi silent.
Being free of cables is great but the device has that disturbing Auto-ON function. The FM transmitter starts sending signal when it detects a sound signal. The problem is that it delays like more than a second. The other problem is again an Auto “mis”function. Like the Auto-ON function, after a minute or so when it senses there’s no signal input, it switches OFF automatically and when it does this, the headphone speakers make a disturbing shut-off noise. We believe that these issues must be solved before calling these the ultimate wireless headphone solution.

PowerBall Gyroscope

Take the Powerball in your hand, set the rotor in motion with the cord provided or use your finger when you get used to it and it will slowly gain speed as you keep shaking. No batteries, no motor, just pure gyroscopic power in the palm of your hand. A serious toy it is!
How forceful can it get? You may ask… If your hands & arms are strong enough to hold it long enough, the rotor will reach an unbelievable 15,000 RPM! At which point it’s exerting about 18 kg (40lbs) of tremendous pressure on your limbs and travelling at approximately 250 revs per second.
You can keep track of your personal speed record on the digital counter. The world record is currently 16,317RPM.
The manufacturer rightly claims that this device can help in rehabilitation of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Arthritis, Repetitive Strain Injury and similar illness related to joints and arm muscles. It’s also used by athletes to develop physical strength and endurance.
Intel Montevallo

Intel’s concept laptop design Montevallo has similar hardware compared to other high-end line of notebooks. But this creatively designed flexible unit isn’t only a laptop. The screen and keyboard are detachable making it a semi-desktop computer. Also it can be used as a stand-alone LCD TV or mobile entertainment center.
We all like flexibility and it looks like we’ll see more products like Montevallo in the very near future. Intel will probably start shipping in 2007 and there will be two different versions including a 14″ as shown above and another 12″, smaller road-warrior model.
