Tissot T-Touch Multi-Function Wristwatch
Tissot T-Touch is a multi-function watch with a timeless design. The model on the picture is a T-Touch Titanium. The analog display has luminous hands and indices, but the digital display is not illuminated. Analog and digital display both show the same time.
You activate functions (Meteo, Altimeter, Chrono, Compass, Alarm and Thermo.) by simply putting your finger on the respective icon. No pressure needed, just a touch! When you select “Thermo”, “Altimeter”, “Chrono”, or “Alarm”, the hour and minute hands come together over the icon that marks this function, and the value is displayed in the digital window.
The “Meteo” function is simply a weather forecast based on the trend of atmospheric pressure and temprature readings over the past eight hours which T-Touch performs automatically. When you select “Meteo” the atmospheric pressure is indicated in the digital display in hPa (hektoPascal). The position of the hands indicate a barometric trend. If the minutes are before the 12:00 this means that there is a drop in pressure and if minutes are after 12:00 this indicates an increase in pressure.
“Compass” mode functions like a conventitional compass does. The hours and minutes hands first move into exactly opposite positions and the minutes hand is oriented northwards. You’ve to hold the watch horizontally to get an exact reading.
After 30 seconds or when the center of the dial is touched, the hands return to their normal position, quiting modes.

Battery powered hand warmer - Sanyo Eneloop Kairo

There was the chemically activated jelly-pack Chinese hand warmers which you had to put in hot water to get them ready for the next cold day. Sanyo Kairo is a more practical approach to warm your hands. Powered by an internal Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, allowing it to be recharged approximately 500 times. Kairo has an “On/Off” switch so you can use it only when you need it and save energy. That’s something you couldn’t do with the jelly-packs.
The PTC Heater integrated thermostat technology adjusts and stabilizes the temperature to prevent the device heating beyond the temperature you desire. The Eneloop Kairo can be adjusted to 2 settings; high at 43ºC for 5 hours and low at 41ºC for 6 hours. Charges up in about 5 hours with its own AC adapter and weights 85g.

USB Beverage Chiller

A cool gadget from CoolIT Systems.
- The coldplate chills your beverage to 45˚F (about 7.5 ˚C)
- 1.2 Amps/5.75 Watts to operate
- USB 1.1 and 2.0 Compatible
- Works on Computers, XBOX and Playstation
The only drawback is that power consumption isn’t so low and it might not be ideal for use with low-grade laptop computers. After about half an hour, you can get an alert that USB ports are drawing too much power. On the other hand, half an hour is enough time to keep your favorite beverage cold.

World’s First Intelligent Shoe! - Adidas_1
Adidas has introduced the most advanced shoe ever. Called “adidas_1″, the shoe provides intelligent cushioning by automatically and continuously adjusting itself. It does so by sensing the cushioning level, using a sensor and a magnet. It then understands whether the cushioning level is too soft or too firm via a small (20Mhz) computer. It adapts with a motor-driven cable system to provide the correct cushioning throughout the run.
It works like a human reflex nerve. The nerve is a magnetic sensing system, where the sensor sits just below the runner’s heel and the magnet is placed at the bottom of the midsole. On each impact, this sensor measures the distance from top to bottom of the midsole (accurate to .1 mm) gauging the compression and therefore the amount of cushioning being used. About 1,000 readings per second are taken and relayed to the shoe’s brain.
Underneath the arch is the shoe’s brain, a microprocessor capable of making five million calculations per second. Software written specifically for the shoe compares the compression messages received from the sensor to a preset zone and understands if the shoe is too soft or too firm.
Once it has determined if the cushioning level is appropriate, it sends a command to the shoe’s muscle to make a change.
A motor-driven cable system is the shoe’s muscle. The motor, housed in the midfoot, receives the brain’s instructions and adapts by turning a screw, which lengthens or shortens a cable. This cable is secured to the walls of a plastic cushioning element. When the cable is shortened, the cushioning element is tensed and compresses very little. When the cable is longer, it allows the cushioning element to compress further, making the shoe’s ride softer. A small battery, which is replaceable and lasts for 100 hours of running (the normal life of a shoe), provides the motor’s power. The changes are gradual and happen automatically, so all the runner notices is that the shoe feels right during an entire run.

Adidas_1 comes in 5 different colors for men and women.
Finally, this is the basketball version.

Powerful Wicked Laser Pointers

We’ve had great fun with the weaker red lasers when people did not know much about them at the time. They were abandoned very quickly because everybody became informed of what they were as soon as they became widely available in every electronics shop around for very little money.
These lasers from WickedLasers of China are different. They’re fiercer, they have extremely long range of up to 120 miles! And they can actually hurt!
Red, Blue and green lasers available. Blue lasers seem to be the strongest but much more costly.
They’re capable of lighting matches and popping balloons and burn other flammable materials. The darker the color of material, the easier it is to burn.
Prices start at $99 and goes up to $3500 for more powerful lasers.
Be forewarned! These are definitely not toys! You have to be seriously very cautious and never aim to anyone, including animals. Especially never-ever point these lasers to eyes! If you harm someone, these can certainly be acknowledged as a weapon by your government.
